During an early June 2026 voyage along the Alaska coast, passengers and crew on an Alaska cruise ship experienced a contagious gastrointestinal illness characterized by vomiting. Health authorities have confirmed the occurrence of the outbreak aboard the vessel.
Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is actively investigating the matter to understand the extent and details of the outbreak. While the precise cause and scale of affected individuals have not been disclosed, the probe aims to identify contributing factors and help prevent similar incidents in the future.
