Carnival Cruise Line has disclosed a cybersecurity incident that resulted in unauthorized access to sensitive passenger information. The breach has affected close to six million travelers, with confidential details including passport numbers and driver’s license data being exposed.

According to the cruise operator, the data exposure stems from a social engineering attack targeting its systems. Carnival confirmed that those passengers whose information was compromised have already been informed about the situation.

Following the breach, Carnival has advised affected individuals to remain vigilant by monitoring for any signs of fraudulent activity. The company has also provided guidance to help passengers protect

themselves in the aftermath of the incident.
