Carnival Cruise Line announced that from December 1, 2026, it will implement dynamic pricing for its drink and Wi-Fi packages. The pricing will depend on sailing length, itinerary, and season.

Currently, Carnival’s three main drink packages range from $6.95 to $69.95 per person per day. Wi-Fi packages cost between $20.40 and $25.50 daily, while a connectivity package for up to four devices starts at $90. Dynamic pricing adjusts prices based on demand fluctuations similar to airline ticket and Uber surge pricing. Carnival stated that once a package is purchased, the price is locked and will not change if pricing adjusts

later.

FunPacks Promotion Details

Carnival’s FunPacks bundle drink and Wi-Fi packages with shore excursion discounts, specialty dining, and spa treatments. FunPacks cost from $25 to $99 per person per day. Guests can book FunPacks until October 30, 2026, for sailings between October 31, 2026, and December 31, 2027.

Industry Context and Carnival’s Pricing Approach

Dynamic pricing is common in travel and service industries such as airlines and ride-hailing apps. Cruise lines have used dynamic pricing for cruise fares before. Carnival states this model “allows us to better align pricing with the type of cruise a guest books while providing greater flexibility and reflecting seasonal demand.” It also emphasizes that

once a guest purchases a package, “their confirmed price is locked in and will not change even if pricing is adjusted later.”
