
California has authorized a $3.5 billion contract aimed at progressing its high-speed rail initiative. This step represents a major advancement toward realizing the nation’s first true high-speed rail infrastructure within the state.
Concurrently, the California high-speed rail board has installed a former adviser to Governor Gavin Newsom as its new chairperson. This leadership change is coupled with the contract approval to support accelerated development efforts for the rail project.
