EasyJet will begin operating seven new flight routes from five UK airports starting November 2026. The airline’s expansion covers Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle, London Southend, and London Luton airports.
Details of New EasyJet Routes
The seven new routes include Liverpool to Reykjavík in Iceland; Manchester to Nuremberg, Germany; Newcastle to Kraków, Poland; Newcastle to Marrakesh, Morocco; Newcastle to Copenhagen, Denmark; London Southend to Belfast, Northern Ireland; and London Luton to Rabat, Morocco.
Flight Operations and Fare Information
The Liverpool to Reykjavík route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays throughout the winter season. Manchester to Nuremberg flights also run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays until early January
2027. Newcastle to Kraków services, launched last month, operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with no confirmed end date. Newcastle to Marrakesh flights will run twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Starting November 5, 2026, Newcastle to Copenhagen flights will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. London Southend to Belfast will operate three times weekly on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays starting November 2, 2026. London Luton to Rabat flights commence in November 2026, operating twice weekly.
Fares begin at £21.99 one-way for London Luton to Rabat, £22.99 for Newcastle to Marrakesh, £25 for Liverpool to Reykjavík, £25.99 for
Newcastle to Kraków, and £64 return for Manchester to Nuremberg.
Network Expansion and Regional Connectivity
These new routes expand EasyJet’s network across the UK. The Liverpool to Reykjavík route marks EasyJet’s first direct service from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Iceland. The reinstated Manchester to Nuremberg route, unavailable since 2019, makes Manchester the only UK airport outside London to offer direct flights to Nuremberg. Newcastle Airport now offers 31 destinations since EasyJet opened a base there in March 2026, including new services to Kraków, Marrakesh, and Copenhagen. London Southend and London Luton airports have increased their international route options with new flights to Belfast and
Rabat respectively.
Statements from EasyJet and Airport Officials
EasyJet’s UK Country Manager Kevin Doyle expressed satisfaction in launching the Liverpool to Reykjavík route, emphasizing the added travel options for North West customers during the winter. Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s Aviation Director Paul Winfield highlighted the significance of offering direct flights to Iceland for regional passengers. Newcastle Airport’s Director of Aviation Development, Leon McQuaid, noted that EasyJet’s network growth demonstrates commitment to the airport and the North East region. London Southend Airport’s Business Development Director Nigel Mayes welcomed the Belfast route to the growing network. Doyle also described Belfast as a valuable destination for leisure and business
travelers, noting the convenience of airports on both ends.
Context of Route Launches Amid Industry Challenges
EasyJet has launched these new routes amid a challenging travel environment characterized by route reductions and rising jet fuel prices. The reintroduction of Manchester to Nuremberg restores a connection lost since 2019. Newcastle Airport’s increased connectivity follows EasyJet establishing a base there earlier in 2026. The Liverpool to Reykjavík service was publicly announced in June 2026, expanding winter holiday options for UK travelers.
