WestJet has cancelled 76 flights as of July 30, 2026, due to a possible flight attendant strike expected to start August 2. The union and airline issued strike and lockout notices amid stalled negotiations over unpaid ground work.

Over 1,454 flights were delayed and 102 cancelled at multiple U.S. airports on July 30, 2026. The disruptions stemmed from travel interruptions affecting operations across the country.

Hyatt will transform the abandoned Hotel Arizona in downtown Tucson into a 291-room Hyatt Regency hotel by late 2027. The project includes 22,000 sq ft of event space next to the Tucson Convention Center.
