The Xi’an–Shiyan high-speed railway line opened on June 30, 2026. Trains now cover 257 km in about one hour at speeds up to 350 km/h.

East Midlands Railway cancelled numerous train services in July 2026 due to extreme heat and rolling stock shortages. Regional and Intercity routes between Nottingham, Leicester, and London St Pancras were most affected.

The FAA imposed a ground stop at Tampa International Airport on July 18, 2026, caused by storms. The ground stop was lifted the same day, and flights resumed normal operations.
