The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has published new research identifying critical barriers in the business travel sector, notably gaps in artificial intelligence adoption. These shortcomings in integrating AI technologies are seen as a significant factor limiting improvements and innovations within business trip planning and execution.
Aside from AI adoption issues, the study points to fragmented hotel distribution systems as another major obstacle. This fragmentation results in inefficiencies across travel programs, disrupting efforts to streamline and enhance the overall experience for business travelers. These combined technological and programmatic challenges contribute to delays in reaching an optimized business trip.
