EasyJet launched seven new flight routes from five United Kingdom airports starting November 2026. The airline introduced services from Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, Newcastle, London Southend, and London Luton airports to destinations across Europe and North Africa.

New European and Icelandic Routes Begin

EasyJet started a twice-weekly Liverpool to Reykjavík route, operating on Mondays and Fridays throughout the winter 2026-2027 season. Fares for this service start at around £25. The Manchester to Nuremberg route also runs twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays until early January 2027, with return fares from £64. This Manchester-Nuremberg connection was not available since 2019 after Ryanair ceased operations on the route,

making Manchester the only UK airport outside London with a direct link to the German city during this period.

Expanded Newcastle Routes Enhance City Connections

Newcastle Airport now hosts three new routes operated by EasyJet. Two flights weekly to Kraków run Mondays and Fridays with one-way fares starting at £25.99. Newcastle to Marrakesh flights operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays with ticket prices from £22.99. Additionally, Newcastle to Copenhagen service started on November 5, running twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. Since EasyJet established a base at Newcastle in March 2026, it has expanded its network to 31 destinations, quadrupling its presence at the

airport.

New Services from London Airports

London Southend Airport introduced a new route to Belfast, Northern Ireland, beginning November 2. This service runs three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, with fares accessible for travelers interested in short breaks. London Luton Airport added a twice-weekly route to Rabat, Morocco, starting November 5, with one-way fares from £21.99. Rabat is known for its status as a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its Islamic heritage and French-colonial architecture.

Official Remarks and Market Context

EasyJet’s UK Country Manager noted the Liverpool to Reykjavík launch provides additional winter holiday options for customers in the North West of England. Liverpool John Lennon

Airport’s Aviation Director highlighted the opportunity for regional passengers to fly directly to Iceland. Newcastle Airport’s Director of Aviation Development remarked on EasyJet’s commitment demonstrated by the expansion to 31 routes since opening its local base.

London Southend’s Business Development Director welcomed Belfast to the airport’s network, emphasizing the route’s appeal for both leisure and business travelers. EasyJet’s UK Country Manager also characterized Belfast as a popular destination with convenient airport access fostering high demand.

The airline’s route expansion unfolds amid challenges including rising jet fuel prices and industry-wide route reductions. The reintroduction of the Manchester-Nuremberg service fills a previous

connectivity gap on this direct route since 2019.

Cultural and Tourism Highlights of New Destinations

Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital, offers attractions such as geothermal lagoons, the Northern Lights, Hallgrímskirkja Church, and the Harpa concert hall. Nuremberg is famous for its authentic Christmas market dating back to the 1620s, featuring traditional stalls and local festive food.

Kraków, recognized as Europe’s most affordable winter city break, presents historic sites including the Main Market Square, St. Mary’s Basilica, and the Jewish Quarter with traditional restaurants and synagogues. Marrakesh attracts approximately 1.3 million British tourists annually and is known for its vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa square and Medina souks.

Copenhagen features

its historic Nyhavn waterfront district, Michelin-starred dining, and sustainable tourism initiatives like CopenPay. Belfast showcases the Titanic Belfast museum, St. George’s Market, and a thriving arts and food scene. Rabat’s notable landmarks include the Kasbah of the Udayas and its UNESCO World Heritage Medina.
