On November 5, 2026, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. announced Oceania Cruises will operate Alaska itineraries during the 2027 season aboard the Oceania Riviera. The ship will offer voyages lasting seven, 10, and 11 days departing from Seattle and Vancouver. These cruises integrate iconic Alaskan ports with lesser-accessible remote destinations.

Alaska Itinerary Details

The itineraries include stops in several Alaskan ports such as Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau, Skagway, Wrangell, Klawock, and Haines. Oceania Riviera’s smaller size enables access to wilderness areas and harbors that larger vessels cannot reach. This blend of historic towns and secluded natural beauty forms the backbone of the routes.

Scenic Cruising Highlights

Key

natural highlights on the itineraries include scenic cruising past Hubbard Glacier and through Holkham Bay Glacier Fjords. These areas showcase Alaska’s dramatic cliffs and pristine wilderness, providing a striking backdrop for passengers during their journey.

Shore Excursions and Experiences

Oceania Cruises offers a variety of shore excursions focused on wildlife and local culture. Options include helicopter rides to Mendenhall Glacier, dog sledding, whale and wildlife encounters, visits to floating oyster farms, King Crab fishing, and culinary experiences led by locals.

Land Programs for Extended Exploration

Pre- and post-cruise land programs provide deeper regional immersion. The Discover Denali itinerary combines three nights in Anchorage and Denali National Park with a

Deluxe Dome Rail experience. The Rocky Mountaineer: Western Wonderland program covers seven nights across Calgary, Banff, Kamloops, and Vancouver, including two days on the Rocky Mountaineer glass-domed train featuring stops at Lake Louise, Yoho National Park, and the Spiral Tunnels. The Vancouver: City, Sea & Summits program offers three nights combining urban sightseeing with nature excursions including a gondola ride over Howe Sound and a cruise through False Creek.

Official Remarks and Luxury Service

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, said, “A cruise in Alaska offers the chance to explore and enjoy some of the most incredible scenery in the world.” He emphasized

that guests can experience adventure by day while returning to the comfort and elegance of the Oceania Riviera, enjoying fine dining and private veranda views.
