Stansted Airport will introduce nine new flight routes during 2026, with airlines including Turkish Airlines, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2.com, TUI, BA CityFlyer, AJet, and Cyprus Airways expanding their services.
New Destinations and Airline Services from Stansted
Turkish Airlines launched a service to Istanbul in March 2026, operating up to 15 flights weekly. This route marks Stansted as the airline’s sixth UK airport, contributing to Turkish Airlines’ 170 weekly flights from the UK and Ireland during the peak summer season.
EasyJet introduced flights from Stansted to Paris Charles de Gaulle, while Ryanair added a new route to Malmö, Sweden. Jet2.com expanded its Stansted operations by adding three new destinations:
Jerez in southern Spain, Samos in Greece, and La Palma in the Canary Islands.
TUI commenced new flights to Kos, Greece. BA CityFlyer started services to Olbia in Sardinia. AJet introduced a route to Bodrum, Turkey, and Cyprus Airways announced plans to resume operations with flights from Stansted to Larnaca, Cyprus.
Impact on Passengers and Airport Connectivity
Ciaran Brannigan, commercial director at London Stansted Airport, said, “We’re delighted to welcome new airlines and routes during 2026 that give our passengers even greater choice, value and convenience.” He highlighted that these additions underline Stansted’s commitment to expanding its destination network and improving connectivity for leisure and business
travellers.
With these new services, Stansted now offers access to more than 200 destinations, enhancing travel options for passengers.
Stansted’s Growing Role in UK and European Air Travel
The launch of these nine routes reflects Stansted’s development as a key gateway airport in the UK. It ranks among the busiest international airports in the country and continues to grow its network across Europe and beyond.
Turkish Airlines’ expansion to include Stansted as its sixth UK airport reinforces the airline’s growing presence in the British and Irish markets.
Details such as flight frequencies for routes other than Turkish Airlines’ Istanbul service, specific aircraft models, and passenger capacity for the new
routes have not been disclosed.
