India urgently requires an estimated 200,000 additional branded hotel rooms to meet current demand that exceeds existing supply, according to Asian Hospitality.
A report by CBRE identifies that between 190,000 and 210,000 extra hotel rooms will be needed in India by 2035 to close the supply gap. The hospitality sector has called for rapid expansion to address this shortfall.
