United Airlines will launch nonstop year-round daily service between Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, and San Francisco International Airport starting March 28, 2027. Flights will depart Bradley at 6:30 p.m. each day.
Expanded United Airlines Service at Bradley International Airport
This new San Francisco route expands United’s presence at Bradley, where it already provides nonstop flights to Houston, Chicago, Denver, and Washington, D.C. United now connects Bradley to five of its eight U.S. hubs. Michael W. Shea, executive director and CEO of the Connecticut Airport Authority, said, “We are thrilled that United Airlines is strengthening its presence at Bradley International Airport with the addition of year-round nonstop
service to San Francisco.” He added the flight connects the community with important business and leisure destinations, providing greater convenience and expanded access.
Mark Weithofer, managing director of Domestic Network Planning at United Airlines, said, “We’re excited to grow our network from Hartford with new daily service to San Francisco, providing Connecticut travelers with convenient service to the West Coast.” He added this new service strengthens United’s commitment to the region while offering customers greater choice and seamless connections across its global network from San Francisco.
Bradley International Airport Infrastructure Improvements
Bradley recently completed a three-year project expanding security checkpoints by adding corridors and multiple
TSA lanes to handle increased passenger volume. The airport also secured over $8 million in federal funding to upgrade Terminal A, supporting increased flight operations.
Traveler Benefits and Connectivity Through San Francisco Hub
The nonstop flights will reduce travel time for Connecticut passengers and expand access to destinations across the western United States, Asia, and Oceania through United’s San Francisco hub. Improved connections enable efficient transfers to worldwide locations.
Shea emphasized the importance of enhanced West Coast access, while Weithofer highlighted that the new service offers more choices and global connectivity linked with United’s network.
