Carnival Cruise Lines will start using dynamic pricing for drink and Wi-Fi packages on December 1, 2026. This new system means customers may pay different amounts for the same amenities depending on cruise length, itinerary, and season.
Prices for beverage and internet packages will fluctuate based on demand and market conditions tied to each sailing. This applies whether passengers purchase packages individually or as part of bundled FunPacks.
FunPacks are new bundles including drink and Wi-Fi packages, excursion discounts, specialty dining, and spa offers. They cost between $25 and $99 per person per day and are available for booking until
October 30, 2026, for sailings from October 31, 2026, to December 31, 2027.
Currently, Carnival’s flat-rate daily drink packages range from $6.95 to $124. Internet plans cost between $20.40 and $25.50 per person per day. Carnival has not disclosed exact price ranges under dynamic pricing but said prices may be higher during peak seasons.
Cruise influencer Tony Barnette questioned whether passengers on the same sailing might pay different prices for identical packages. He called for more transparency regarding pricing methods to better inform travelers.
Carnival stated dynamic pricing aligns package costs with the cruise each guest books, offering flexibility and
reflecting seasonal demand. The company confirmed once a package is purchased, its price is locked in despite later changes.
AAA projects 22.4 million Americans will take domestic or international ocean cruises in 2027, highlighting cruising’s growing popularity.
