Holland America Line has put five new cruises aboard the refurbished Oosterdam on sale for 2027 following the ship’s recently completed modernization. The refurbishment finished ahead of schedule in Marseille, France, marking the first completion within the Holland America Evolution program.
Oosterdam Refurbishment Details
The upgraded Oosterdam features new cabin categories including Solo Verandahs designed for solo travelers, Bridgeview Suites at the ship’s front providing panoramic views, Vista Suites, and an updated Pinnacle Suite. The ship also added the Grand Dutch Café and redesigned the Ocean Bar to include elements popular on the Pinnacle-class fleet vessels.
First Post-Refurbishment Cruise
The first cruise departing after refurbishment is
a 10-day Adriatic Antiquities itinerary leaving Civitavecchia (Rome) on October 31, 2027, and arriving in Trieste, Italy. It will include calls at destinations such as Pompeii and Sicily in Italy, Corfu in Greece, the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, and the Adriatic coastline of Croatia.
Additional 2027 Itineraries and Regions
Following this initial voyage, Oosterdam will operate four additional new cruises in 2027. These itineraries span three regions, covering various Mediterranean destinations across Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, and extend to voyages in the Caribbean, offering travelers expanded options to sail aboard the refurbished ship.
Official Statement from Holland America Line
Beth Bodensteiner, President of Holland America Line, said, “One of the
great joys of travel is being among the first to discover something new, and these itineraries offer our guests that opportunity aboard Oosterdam.” She described the refurbishment as an exciting new chapter for the fleet and welcomed guests to experience the transformation firsthand on these early cruises.
