Disney Cruise Line revealed its next new ship, Disney Believe, scheduled for its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027. It will depart from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, marking the addition of the fourth vessel in the Wish class alongside Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.

Exclusive Entertainment Features

The Disney Believe will premiere the first-ever stage adaptation of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Encanto.” This musical will showcase songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda including “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.” The production incorporates diverse Colombian cultural elements expressed through costumes, scenic design, and traditional dances, drawing a parallel

to the cultural authenticity displayed in the “Moana” show aboard Disney Treasure.

Voyage Itineraries and Private Island Stops

The ship will offer four- and five-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale to destinations in the Caribbean and The Bahamas. Itineraries may include calls at Disney’s private islands: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Dining and Venues Aboard Disney Believe

The vessel introduces several new dining and entertainment spaces alongside returning favorites. Oaken’s Table offers a Frozen-themed family dining experience featuring characters Oaken, Anna, and Kristoff in a sommerhus courtyard setting. Gazelle, inspired by the Disney film “Zootopia,” will serve as a multi-purpose entertainment hub hosting family activities by day and

adult-only events at night.

Additional venues include Sea Notes, a piano lounge themed on Ariel’s grotto from “The Little Mermaid,” and Skygazers, an observatory-themed pub with astronomical decorations and a menu of craft beverages. Returning popular venues include the Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose lounge.

Thematic Design and Storytelling Elements

The ship’s central Grand Hall features a Moana theme with a statue of Moana alongside Pua and Heihei. The design includes ocean-hued carpeting with bioluminescent effects and a chandelier inspired by the sea and the heart of Te Fiti. Story Sea-kers Percival and Professor Philomena will

serve as thematic storytellers throughout the ship, continuing a tradition established on Disney Treasure.

Constellations will be displayed on the Grand Hall ceiling through fiber optic lighting. The ship blends design influences from Disney films including Encanto, Frozen, Zootopia, and The Little Mermaid.

Booking Information and Traveler Impact

Bookings for Disney Believe open to the public on October 19, 2026, with presales starting earlier. Be Our Guest Vacations, an authorized Disney Vacation Planner, is recommended for early booking assistance.

The ship aims to provide guests with exclusive new entertainment options like the Encanto musical and Oaken’s Table dining, while maintaining family-friendly amenities including Disney’s Oceaneer

Club, It’s a Small World Nursery, The Edge, Vibe, and The Hideaway for older children.

Disney Cruise Line plans to expand its fleet to 13 ships by late 2030, with Disney Believe as a key addition to this growth strategy.
