Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee met with Air Arabia in October 2026 to discuss expanding air connectivity and launching new flight routes aimed at increasing tourism arrivals and promoting Uzbekistan internationally.

Current Routes and Flight Frequencies

Air Arabia presently operates flights to Tashkent and Namangan in Uzbekistan. The airline maintains 13 combined weekly flights on the Tashkent-Sharjah and Tashkent-Abu Dhabi routes, serving as key air links between Uzbekistan and the Middle East.

Potential New Routes and Frequency Increases

The parties reviewed plans to introduce direct flights to Uzbekistan’s major tourist destinations such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. Increasing flight frequencies on the existing Tashkent-Sharjah and Tashkent-Abu Dhabi lines was also discussed to accommodate

higher passenger demand.

Joint Tourism Promotion and Marketing

Air Arabia and Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee agreed to leverage the airline’s digital platforms and targeted international markets for enhanced tourism promotion. The collaboration includes developing specialized tourism packages and coordinating marketing campaigns to raise awareness of Uzbekistan’s attractions.

Familiarization Trips and European Market Focus

To boost global tourism, the partners plan familiarization tours for bloggers, influencers, tour operators, and journalists, with Air Arabia offering to cover airfare costs for participants. Noting a rise in arrivals from Europe, they aim to amplify promotional activities there, including distributing informational materials aboard flights in European and other target markets.

Support for Umrah Plus and Event Participation

Air Arabia expressed readiness to support Uzbekistan’s

Umrah Plus project as a distinct tourism product. The airline was invited to the 31st Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” scheduled for November 2026, alongside the Investment Forum and MICE Tourism Conference occurring during the event.

Tourism Infrastructure Development in Uzbekistan

Air Arabia representatives observed significant growth in Uzbekistan’s tourism infrastructure over the past decade, with an increase in the number of high-class hotels and diversified accommodation options enhancing the visitor experience.

Agreements on Expanding Connectivity to Increase Tourist Arrivals

Following discussions, practical agreements emphasized expanding Uzbekistan’s air connectivity by deepening cooperation through Air Arabia’s international network. These measures are intended to facilitate higher tourism traffic and improve traveler

access to key destinations within Uzbekistan.
