United Airlines is set to launch 10 new flight routes in 2027, marking the largest expansion in the airline’s history. Tickets for these new flights will be available for purchase starting in early September 2026.
Expanded International Network Includes Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France
The airline currently connects Orlando with Chicago, Houston, Denver, and Washington and will significantly increase its presence in international markets with the new routes. United Airlines will offer more flights to destinations in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France than any other U.S. carrier, underscoring its focus on expanding global connections.
Senior Vice President Highlights United’s Broad Travel Offering
Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances at United Airlines,
said the airline aims to offer routes suitable for every traveler’s needs. “Whether it’s a business trip, a dream honeymoon, a bucket-list adventure, or a trip home to see family, we’re making the world feel smaller and connecting cultures at a scale no other airline in the world can match,” Quayle said. He also noted that United has added flights to nearly 60 new international cities over the past decade, expanding its global network to inspire travelers and set industry trends.
Passenger Benefits and Ticket Availability
This network expansion will provide passengers with more nonstop flight options within North America and to key international destinations.
Tickets for the new routes, launching in 2027, go on sale in early September 2026, allowing travelers to plan trips well in advance.
Over the last ten years, United Airlines has broadened its service to nearly 60 new international cities, reinforcing its position as a major U.S. carrier offering extensive global connectivity. This expansion reflects the airline’s strategy to accommodate diverse traveler needs and enhance route options across the Americas and beyond.
