BermudAir will begin nonstop service from Newark Liberty International Airport to South Caicos twice weekly starting December 20, 2026, operating through April 25, 2027. One-way fares for this route start at $347. The 1,400-mile flight reduces travel time from the New York area to South Caicos to about three and a half hours, bypassing the previous routing through Miami and Providenciales.
Expanded Caribbean Routes from Multiple US and Canadian Airports
In addition to South Caicos, BermudAir is launching nonstop flights to Providenciales from several US and Canadian cities. These include Fort Lauderdale starting October 26, 2026; St. Petersburg/Tampa on December 18; Newark, Boston, and Toronto on December 19; Raleigh–Durham
on December 20; and Baltimore–Washington on December 24. BermudAir will also begin nonstop service to Belize from Fort Lauderdale (October 26), Boston (December 19), St. Petersburg/Tampa (December 20), Orlando–Sanford, and Raleigh–Durham (both December 21). The airline’s Anguilla routes resume December 18 from Newark and Boston, with new services from Baltimore–Washington on December 21 and from St. Petersburg/Tampa and Toronto on December 18 and 19, respectively.
Aircraft and Service Product
BermudAir operates Embraer E190 aircraft featuring a two-by-two seating configuration in business and economy classes. The airline offers a premium leisure product that eliminates single-use plastics onboard, serves drinks in glassware, and provides meals with
real cutlery and tablecloths. Originally launched in 2023 as an all-business-class carrier between Bermuda and the US Northeast, the company shifted to this premium leisure model after determining it did not achieve the desired seat product.
New Resort Openings on South Caicos and Providenciales
The renewed air service supplements recent developments in the Turks and Caicos Islands, including Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa on South Caicos spanning 65 acres, which AFAR Media named one of the best new hotels of 2026. Providenciales has also seen growth with South Bank by Grace Bay Resorts opening reservations for the Arc villas, a collection of 17 waterfront villas set
to debut in December 2026.
Improved Connectivity and Market Strategy
Travel to South Caicos has historically required multiple flights, typically routing through Miami and Providenciales. BermudAir founder and CEO Adam Scott said, “Historically the only way to do that is to fly typically to Miami to get down to Provo [Providenciales] and then get a little puddle jumper down to South Caicos.” BermudAir aims to serve thin, high-value markets that major airlines avoid, focusing on direct routes with no nonstop competition. The carrier is coordinating schedules with regional airlines such as Anguilla Air Services, Tropic Air, and InterCaribbean to enhance inter-island connections.

Adam Scott described
BermudAir’s shift as becoming “much more of a regional player,” growing beyond East Coast–Bermuda routes. Steve Bennett, cofounder of Uncommon Caribbean, commented, “BermudAir’s expansion is a great next step in developing more vacation-focused island pairing, virtually eliminating ‘been there, done that’ sentiments about the Caribbean.” He highlighted that previously, intra-regional routes focused more on business travelers and individual island needs rather than leisure travel.
Future Expansion Plans
BermudAir has an order for up to 20 Airbus A220 aircraft, signaling plans for further network growth in the Caribbean and beyond.
