Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts officially opened the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit, the first Fairmont hotel in Thailand, on August 23, 2026. Located in Sukhumvit, Bangkok, the 416-room property aims to establish a new luxury lifestyle and MICE destination.
Hotel Size and Event Facilities
The hotel features over 2,000 square meters of flexible event space spanning three floors, including a Signature Grand Ballroom with a 12-meter-high ceiling, a secondary ballroom, seven breakout rooms, and the Couture Hall. These facilities cater to international conferences, business meetings, weddings, and gala events.
Design and Cultural Influences
Inspired by Thailand’s floral heritage, especially the golden Ratchaphruek blossom,
the hotel’s interiors, art, and overall design were curated by Thai design practice PIA. The architecture was developed by A49, while the signature uniforms were created by Thai fashion house ASAVA, blending local culture with international luxury.
Dining and Wellness Offerings
The Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit will progressively introduce seven distinct dining and entertainment venues throughout 2026. These include Harper’s, a North American-French brasserie; AELA Social Bar; CAYA Pool Club; and the Wiggle Room supper club, set to open in mid-September. Rooftop dining options, including an Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant and contemporary Thai cuisine, are planned for December 2026. Wellness facilities include the Fairmont Spa spanning
more than 1,000 square meters, a fitness studio for yoga and strength training, and family-friendly amenities.
Sustainability and Opening Ceremony
The hotel was constructed to meet LEED Gold standards, incorporating sustainable features such as biophilic design, water recycling systems, smart energy solutions, elevated indoor air quality, EV charging stations, and a heat-reduction façade. The opening ceremony included representatives from Accor, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the diplomatic corps, and leaders from Thailand’s public and private sectors, hosted by AWC CEO and President Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat.
Executive Leadership Statements
Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat noted the milestone of launching Fairmont in Thailand for the first time through the partnership with Accor.
She emphasized creating a luxury destination in Sukhumvit that integrates hospitality, wellness, and entertainment while supporting Bangkok’s standing as a key international destination.
