The 20th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC 2026) is scheduled from August 27 to August 29, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. Themed “Vibrant Connections – Global Destinations,” the event is organized under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, jointly by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, with support from the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition Joint Stock

Company.

Exhibitor and Attendee Participation

ITE HCMC 2026 will feature over 520 exhibitors and brands representing 34 Vietnamese provinces and cities. The event is set to host about 260 high-level international buyers from more than 40 countries and territories, alongside approximately 600 international delegates and 50 high-level delegations.

The business-to-business segment expects more than 21,000 pre-scheduled appointments. Coverage will include around 30,000 visitors and 60 international media outlets.

Historical Growth of ITE HCMC

Since its inception in 2005, ITE HCMC has expanded from a regional trade event into one of Vietnam’s leading international tourism trade promotion platforms. From 2005 to 2010, the Expo attracted approximately 210 exhibitors, 120 international

buyers from 18 countries, and facilitated about 3,200 B2B appointments.

By 2026, exhibitor numbers are expected to more than double, while B2B appointments are projected to increase more than eightfold compared to early years.

Role of Partnerships in Organizing the Expo

Public-private partnerships have been essential for organizing and enhancing ITE HCMC. The event benefits from strong engagement with businesses, airlines, organizations, and partners domestically and internationally, mobilizing social resources to improve event quality and scale.

Support from the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center and C.I.S Vietnam Advertising & Exhibition Joint Stock Company also contributes to its success, enabling professional networking, international buyer hosting, and

comprehensive programming.

ITE HCMC’s Impact on Vietnam’s Tourism Industry

ITE HCMC serves as a catalyst for new tourism linkages, cooperation agreements, and investment opportunities in Vietnam’s tourism industry. It strengthens inter-regional connectivity and expands international cooperation among tourism stakeholders.

The event reflects Vietnam’s growing prominence as a competitive player in global tourism through expanding partnerships, business networking, and effective trade promotion.
