Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa will host the 8th Golf Tourism England (GTE) Convention from July 25 to July 27, 2027. This event marks the 10th anniversary since the first GTE Convention was held at Formby Hall.
The Golf Tourism England Convention is a flagship golf travel industry gathering, expected to attract golf clubs, resorts, hotels, tour operators and travel specialists from Europe and the USA. Delegates will discuss industry developments and opportunities in golf tourism.
Located in Formby, Merseyside, on England’s Golf Coast, Formby Hall features a challenging 18-hole championship golf course. It is close to renowned courses
including Royal Birkdale, Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale, and Formby Golf Club, providing delegates access to one of England’s most established golfing regions.
David Goscombe, Director of Golf & Leisure at Formby Hall, said, “Hosting the Golf Tourism England Convention again, ten years after the first event was held at Formby Hall, is something we’re really proud to be part of.” He added, “The convention will be bringing some of the leading figures in golf tourism to this part of the country. It gives us the chance to show them what Formby Hall has to offer and, just as importantly, introduce
them to the wider golf experience across Southport and England’s Golf Coast.” Golf tourism is a major contributor to the visitor economy in Southport and the surrounding region.
Formby Hall will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026, and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading golf resorts.
