Volaris will introduce eight new flight routes starting in December 2026, expanding connections from its Guadalajara hub to destinations in Colombia, the United States, and Guatemala. Tickets for these new services are available now on Volaris.com and the airline’s official app.
Schedule and Frequencies for New International Routes
The Guadalajara–Medellín route will begin on December 2, 2026, with departures from Guadalajara at 07:25 arriving in Medellín at 12:55. Return flights from Medellín will leave at 14:00 and arrive in Guadalajara at 18:20. This service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Other new routes from Guadalajara include flights to Washington Dulles starting December 1 (operating Tuesdays, Thursdays
and Saturdays), Atlanta starting December 2 (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays), and Guatemala City starting December 4 (Mondays and Fridays).
Additional Routes from Puebla and Querétaro
Puebla Airport will add domestic routes to Acapulco and Puerto Escondido, operating three times weekly, and an international route to Chicago O’Hare beginning December 2. Querétaro Airport will launch a route to Las Vegas, also starting service in December 2026.

Holger Blankenstein, Volaris’ Executive Vice President of Commercial and Operations, said the new routes offer “more routes, more destinations and more opportunities to connect Mexico with the continent,” while reinforcing Guadalajara as a hub and expanding Puebla’s offerings. He added
that connecting Colombia more closely with Mexico expands travel options for Medellín residents. Blankenstein also stated that Volaris is “consolidating its position as a benchmark in South America’s air connectivity and fulfilling its commitment to democratize the skies.”

Volaris operates a fleet of more than 150 Airbus A320 family aircraft and serves 46 Mexican cities, connecting them to 29 destinations across the United States, Central America, and South America. Guadalajara, known as the “Pearl of the West,” is one of the airline’s main operating bases, offering over 110 daily departures to 64 domestic and international destinations.
Since beginning operations in
Colombia in October 2021, Volaris has carried over 660,000 passengers on more than 4,900 flights between Mexico and Colombia. The airline achieved an 88% load factor in July 2026, surpassing 3 million passengers overall.
