Azkoitia City Council has approved a fiscal ordinance establishing a tourist tax in Azkoitia, Spain. The tax aims to generate revenue from visitors to support local infrastructure and will take effect starting mid-2026, according to diarioeuskadi.eus.
In addition, the council ratified an annex to an existing agreement for promoting public housing within the municipality. This initiative is designed to address the town’s housing challenges, with both the tourist tax and housing program set to be implemented from mid-2026.
