
ITB Americas 2026, the first Pan-American B2B travel marketplace uniting the Americas with global markets, was hosted in New York from November 10 to 12, 2026. Four months before the event, 70% of exhibition floor space was sold, reflecting strong industry demand for a dedicated platform connecting North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
Regional Destinations Confirmed
The event showcased participation from destinations including Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. Mexico held the role of Official Partner Country. Key U.S. destinations such as Las Vegas and Visit Tampa Bay also joined, alongside Dubrovnik and Neretva. Additional expected participants encompassed Colombia,
Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Visit Orlando, and Puerto Rico, reinforcing the event’s position as a central meeting place for the Americas travel sector.
Participating Travel Brands Across Sectors
Major hospitality brands included Wyndham Hotels & Resorts with properties like Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen, Accor, JW Marriott Peru, Hard Rock Hotel Guadalajara, RIU Guadalajara, Grupo Presidente, Grupo Brisas, and Velas Resorts. Airlines United Airlines and Air Canada confirmed their participation, emphasizing regional and international connectivity.
Mobility providers Trenitalia, National Car Rental/Enterprise Rent-A-Car México, and ACE Rent A Car (USA) represented the transportation segment. Travel technology companies ranged from AMADEUS and SiteMinder to Dharma, RoomPriceGuide, TripMatrix,
Nexo Travel Solutions, Emburse, My Lighthouse UK, and Grupo Zugatech. Additionally, travel brands including Miki Travel, MegaTravel, Colinson Group, and Merging Mundos Safaris joined the exhibition.
Event Purpose and Business Model
ITB Americas was established to fill a longstanding gap in the global travel trade show landscape by creating the first truly Pan-American B2B event encompassing North, Central, and South America, plus the Caribbean. The platform prioritizes strategic market access and quality business relationships over volume, supported by the Hosted Buyers Program that matches exhibitors with qualified international buyers aligned with their commercial goals.
Conference Scale and Industry Focus
The inaugural edition planned more than 40 conference sessions addressing contemporary
travel industry themes such as artificial intelligence, digital distribution, sustainability, and emerging technologies. The event expected attendance exceeding 5,000 industry professionals, combining business development, networking, and market intelligence.
Organizer Statement and Global Reach
Vicente Salas Hesselbach, VP and Managing Director Americas at Messe Berlin, stated, “ITB Americas was created to bring the Americas travel industry together in a way that has never existed before.” The event attracted international exhibitors including the African Showcase, Hangzhou Youge Travel Agency from China, CREVEN Korea, as well as representatives from Egypt, Thailand, and the Slovenia Tourism Board.
