American Cruise Lines introduced its new boutique vessel, the American Maverick, on July 20, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island. The 130-passenger ship features 56 staterooms with private balconies and was christened with a bottle-breaking ceremony and a lobster bake at Fort Adams State Park.
New England Summer and Florida Winter Itineraries
The American Maverick will operate summer cruises throughout New England, including ports such as Newport, Rhode Island, Rockland, and Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Starting in November, the ship will sail winter itineraries along the Florida Gulf Coast with key stops at Key West and Punta Gorda, Florida.

Lounge, Deck Four Fitness Center, Main Dining Room, Chesapeake Lounge, The Chart Room, and the Sun Deck & Sky Lounge. The vessel incorporates fuel-efficient and waste-reducing technologies designed to promote sustainable, low-impact tourism.
