London Northwestern Railway (LNR) train services will face disruption on July 10 and 11, 2026, due to a two-day industrial strike action. The strike will affect multiple routes, with cancellations and schedule reductions across the network.
Service Reductions and Affected Routes
No trains will operate on the Marston Vale Line between Bedford and Bletchley during the strike days. Stations including Milton Keynes, Northampton, Watford Junction, and St Albans Abbey will experience reduced service levels. On Friday, July 10, no trains will run after 19:00 BST, and the final departure will be at 17:30 BST.
Limited services are planned for two key routes: London Euston to
Crewe will maintain one train per hour stopping at Milton Keynes, and Birmingham to London Euston via Northampton will also provide one train per hour on both strike days.

Jonny Wiseman, a representative from London Northwestern Railway, attributed the disruption to industrial action by the TSSA trade union. Wiseman apologised for the inconvenience and stated, “the strike action is set to cause significant disruption for our customers”. He added, “we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact.”
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys carefully on July 10 and 11 due to cancellations and reduced frequency on key
routes. The disruption will extend into Sunday morning, July 12, 2026, with some disturbances expected caused by displacement of trains as a result of the strike.
