India’s Ministry of Railways has announced a new bullet train project aimed at linking the national capital with Siliguri. This development plans to significantly shorten travel time between the two destinations to approximately six hours.

The high-speed rail route is designed to pass through important urban centers including Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna, connecting these key cities along the corridor. This alignment aims to serve a broad segment of travelers across northern and eastern India.

Once operational, the bullet train is expected to offer commuters substantially faster journeys compared to existing options, changing the dynamics of long-distance travel on this route.
