Norwegian Cruise Line has discontinued the deployment of its ship, Norwegian Viva, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, resulting in the cancellation of hundreds of scheduled sailing days from this port. This marks the end of Norwegian Viva’s operations based in San Juan.

Ship Redeployment and Market Focus

Following the cessation of its Puerto Rico deployment, Norwegian Viva is set to be redeployed to Miami, Florida, where it will remain homeported through 2028. Alongside this move, the cruise line is shifting its strategic emphasis toward expanding its presence and operations in the Miami and Bahamas regions.

Passengers holding bookings for Norwegian Viva sailings originating from San

Juan will be required to adjust their travel plans due to these cancellations and redeployments.
