American Airlines is set to introduce new transatlantic routes for the summer 2026 season, expanding services from its Philadelphia International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth Airport hubs. This initiative is aimed at alleviating flight cancellations and operational disruptions that have affected transatlantic travel.

Included in the expansion is a new daily nonstop service connecting Athens, Greece, directly to Dallas. Additionally, flights linking Philadelphia, Charlotte, Chicago, and New York with Athens are part of the enhanced network. These additions provide travelers with an increased number of options for travel between the United States and key European destinations.

By broadening its route

network, American Airlines is addressing ongoing challenges of flight cancellations and airport disruptions on transatlantic flights. The expanded flights may offer passengers improved itinerary flexibility and connectivity during the upcoming summer season.
