ZIPAIR is set to operate four round-trip charter flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) on specific dates in February and March 2027. These nonstop flights provide a rare direct connection between the Disney parks in Orlando and Tokyo.
Flight Schedule and Journey Times
The charter flights will depart from Narita in the morning and arrive at Orlando that same morning local time. Return flights will leave Orlando in the morning and reach Narita the following afternoon. Each nonstop flight is estimated to take around 14 hours, significantly shorter than the typical minimum 18-hour travel time on connecting flights. These
services operate under government approval and do not constitute a regular daily schedule.
Ticket Sales and Vacation Packages
Standalone airline tickets for the ZIPAIR charter flights will be available through the airline’s website starting in late November 2026, though exact departure times and fares have yet to be announced. Japanese travel agencies H.I.S., JTB, and Jalpak offer vacation packages that include Disney park tickets, hotel accommodations, and airport transfers. Travelers are advised to avoid purchasing nonrefundable tickets or hotel bookings until their flight plans are confirmed.
Travel Time Benefits and Combined Disney Park Trips
The introduction of nonstop charter flights substantially reduces travel time between the two Disney resort regions from at least
18 hours to approximately 14 hours. This more direct route facilitates the planning of combined vacations featuring both Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Tokyo Disney Resort, which includes Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
Background and Future Prospects
Before 2026, travelers moving between Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disney Resort had to rely on connecting flights. ZIPAIR’s first nonstop charter flight arrived at Orlando on February 23, 2026, marking the initial nonstop passenger air link between Florida and the Asia-Pacific region. Additional charters operated later in March and August 2026. Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said in May 2026,
“The excitement surrounding ZIPAIR’s first flights exceeded expectations and sent a clear message that travelers want this connection.” While no permanent daily scheduled flights have been announced, both ZIPAIR and the aviation authority hope the charter operations could lead to regular nonstop services in the future.
