Yomiuri Travel participated as an exhibitor at Tourism EXPO Japan 2026 held at Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo from September 24 to 27, 2026. The company’s booth was positioned at X-12 in East Hall 3, where it featured escorted tours emphasizing safety and peace of mind. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase special trial-price escorted tours exclusive to the event. Additionally, Yomiuri Travel hosted hands-on sessions for the children’s tour program “Wampa Club,” offering craft activities such as making buzzing tops and bamboo chopsticks.
Tourism EXPO Japan 2026 operated for four days, with the first two days, September 24
and 25, reserved exclusively for travel industry professionals to conduct business meetings. Public admission was allowed only on September 26 and 27, with daily opening hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for the final day, which closed at 5 p.m. Tickets for public days were priced at 1,200 yen in advance and 1,500 yen at the door. Students presenting valid ID could enter free of charge. Visitors who completed a survey at Yomiuri Travel’s booth were eligible for a prize drawing featuring items such as an Omi beef sukiyaki set, a motsunabe hot pot gift set, and Shine
Muscat grapes.
The event showcased multiple travel companies, including Mitsui Sumitomo Card offering a V-Trip Hotel Booking cashback campaign. ANA provided ticket waivers for flights to and from Okinawa/Naha due to Typhoon 26. Air Canada announced plans to launch service to Ho Chi Minh City as early as 2027. HIS initiated an overseas travel flash sale targeting the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. Air Cambodia delayed its expansion of Narita–Fuzhou–Phnom Penh flights, rescheduling the increase to December 15.
