Wizz Air will introduce a new direct route connecting Varna Airport in Bulgaria to Yerevan, Armenia starting June 6, 2027. The service will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, with one-way fares beginning at €29.99, which include administrative fees and allowance for a small cabin bag up to 40x30x20 centimeters.
Wizz Air Operations and Network Expansion
Wizz Air holds a 51% market share at Varna Airport and operates 25 routes from the airport to 15 countries. The airline’s Bulgarian fleet consists of 11 Airbus A321neo aircraft, with three based at Varna. During the summer 2026 season, Wizz Air is running 46 weekly flights from Varna.
Additionally, a direct flight to Basel from Varna will commence on October 27, 2026. Globally, Wizz Air operates a fleet of 273 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and transported 68.6 million passengers in 2025.
