Volaris will launch eight new routes starting December 2026, connecting Guadalajara to four U.S. destinations, two Central and South American cities, and two Mexican domestic routes, strengthening Guadalajara International Airport as a major hub.
New Route Launch Dates and Flight Schedules
The Guadalajara–Washington Dulles route begins December 1, 2026, operating Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; return flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Guadalajara routes to Medellín and Atlanta start December 2; Medellín flights run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, Atlanta four times weekly including Sunday. Guadalajara–Guatemala City starts December 4, operating Mondays and Fridays.

New Domestic and International Routes from Puebla and Querétaro
Puebla introduces flights to Acapulco, Puerto Escondido, and Chicago O’Hare, with Chicago service starting December 2, 2026. Acapulco and Puerto Escondido routes operate three times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday or Sunday. Querétaro Airport adds a new Las Vegas route.
Year-Round Guadalajara–Medellín Service Strengthens Mexico-Colombia Links
The Guadalajara–Medellín route is the only year-round air connection between these cities, complementing Guadalajara–Bogotá service. Since October 2021, Volaris has carried over 660,000 passengers on 4,900+ flights between Mexico and Colombia. Medellín passengers benefit from Guadalajara’s broad international connections, with the hub offering over 110
daily departures to 64 destinations.
Volaris’ Growth, Fleet and Network Expansion
Volaris operates over 150 Airbus A320 family aircraft, connecting 46 Mexican cities with 29 destinations across the U.S., Central, and South America. The airline surpassed 3 million passengers in July 2026 with an 88% load factor.

Holger Blankenstein, Volaris Executive Vice President of Commercial and Operations, said the routes provide “more routes, more destinations and more opportunities to connect Mexico with the continent,” reinforce Guadalajara as a hub, and expand Puebla’s offerings. He noted Colombia is vital in Latin America and connecting it to Mexico expands travel options for Medellín residents. Blankenstein added Volaris is
consolidating its position as a benchmark in South America’s air connectivity and fulfilling its commitment to democratize the skies.
