Volaris announced it will launch eight new flight routes beginning December 2026, expanding its network across Mexico, the United States, Central and South America. The airline aims to consolidate its Guadalajara hub, while adding significant connections from Puebla and Querétaro airports.
New Routes From Guadalajara, Puebla and Querétaro
The new destinations include four US cities: Washington Dulles, Atlanta, Chicago O’Hare, and Las Vegas. Two Central and South American destinations are Medellín in Colombia and Guatemala City. Two domestic routes will operate from Puebla to Acapulco and Puerto Escondido. Guadalajara will start flights to Medellín on December 2, Washington Dulles on December 1, Atlanta on December 2, and
Guatemala City on December 4. Puebla’s Chicago O’Hare service begins December 2, while Querétaro will add Las Vegas.
Flight Schedules and Ticket Availability
The Guadalajara–Medellín route operates three times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with departures from Guadalajara at 07:25 arriving Medellín at 12:55, and returning at 14:00 arriving Guadalajara at 18:20. Guadalajara–Washington Dulles flights run outbound Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday starting December 1. Guadalajara–Atlanta flies Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and Guadalajara–Guatemala City operates Mondays and Fridays. Volaris Fleet and Hub Connectivity
Volaris operates a fleet of over 150 Airbus A320 family aircraft. It connects 46 cities in Mexico with 29 destinations across the US, Central and South America. Guadalajara, also known as the “Pearl of the West,” is one of Volaris’ main operating bases, now offering connections to 64 domestic and international destinations with more than 110 daily departures.

Travelers in Guadalajara will gain access to new direct flights to Colombia, the US, and Guatemala, while passengers from Medellín will have increased international connecting options via Guadalajara, especially to the US market. Puebla’s expanded offerings include beach destinations and a new US gateway through Chicago O’Hare. Querétaro adds a direct connection to Las Vegas, increasing access for central Mexico travelers.

Volaris began operations in Colombia
in October 2021 and has since transported over 660,000 passengers on more than 4,900 flights between Mexico and Colombia. The airline surpassed three million passengers in July 2026 with an 88% load factor. This network growth supports Volaris’ objective to strengthen Guadalajara as a key hub and to expand routes from Puebla and Querétaro.
