The event featured a one-day conference, a two-day business-to-business travel mart, and multiple networking sessions where the state presented its tourism offerings through a dedicated pavilion.
Inauguration by Indian Officials Marks Pavilion Opening
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism pavilion was inaugurated by H.E. Ms. Nagma Mohamed Mallick, the Ambassador of India in Tokyo; Mr. Suman Billa, Additional Secretary and Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, India; Dr. R. K. Suman, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, India; along with Ms. Udita
Gaurav, First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Tokyo. The pavilion included four co-exhibitors representing diverse tourism sectors from Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh Tourism focused its promotions on the Buddhist Circuit, pilgrimage routes, spiritual heritage, cultural traditions, local cuisine, crafts, eco-tourism, and heritage tourism. The state, recognized as the cradle of the Buddhist Circuit, invited global stakeholders to explore its rich spiritual and cultural assets.
Accessibility Via Delhi and Lucknow International Airports
Uttar Pradesh highlighted its connectivity for international travelers through the Delhi and Lucknow International Airports. This accessibility supports tourism to iconic destinations within the state such as Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Varanasi, Agra, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and
Kannauj.

Mr. Jaiveer Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, emphasized the state’s effort to reframe global tourism with its unmatched cultural and spiritual heritage. He stated that Uttar Pradesh’s showcase at the JATA Expo enhanced international relations and opened avenues for collaboration. He invited travelers worldwide to experience the spiritual energy of the Buddhist Circuit and the Spiritual Triangle.
