United Airlines announced the launch of 10 new routes across North America and to popular international cities scheduled for late 2026 and into 2027. The airline currently connects Orlando with Chicago, Houston, Denver, and Washington, serving these major hubs.
Tickets for the new routes are available for purchase as of the announcement date, September 6, 2026. This expansion marks the largest growth phase in United’s history, reflecting a major broadening of its service network.
International Route Leadership
United Airlines now serves more destinations in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France than any other U.S. carrier. Over the past decade, the airline has added
flights to nearly 60 new international cities, solidifying its global network footprint.
Strategic Network Expansion
Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances at United, said the airline aims to offer routes that cater to travelers at every life stage. He stated, “We aim to have a destination on our route map for every traveler, at every stage of their lives. Whether it’s a business trip, a dream honeymoon, a bucket-list adventure, or a trip home to see family, we’re making the world feel smaller and connecting cultures at a scale no other airline in the world can match.” He
also highlighted United’s addition of flights to nearly 60 new international cities in the last decade as part of building a broad global network.
Traveler Benefits
With the new routes launching from late 2026, travelers will have expanded direct flight options within North America and to key international destinations. This network growth enhances United’s connectivity and offers more choices for business, leisure, and family travel.
