United Airlines is launching 10 new flight routes in 2027, with tickets available for purchase from September 6, 2026. This expansion marks the biggest route growth in the airline’s history.
Expansion in Japan and European Destinations
The new routes increase United’s reach in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France. The airline now serves more destinations across these countries than any other U.S. carrier.
United Airlines’ Global Network Growth
Over the past decade, United has added flights to nearly 60 new international cities, building a wide global network. The airline aims to have destinations covering a range of traveler needs across different life stages.
Statement from United Airlines Leadership
Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network
Planning and Alliances at United Airlines, said, “We aim to have a destination on our route map for every traveler, at every stage of their lives. Whether it’s a business trip, a dream honeymoon, a bucket-list adventure, or a trip home to see family, we’re making the world feel smaller and connecting cultures at a scale no other airline in the world can match.”
Quayle also highlighted the decade-long network expansion: “We’ve added flights to nearly 60 new international cities in the last decade, building a global network with the breadth and reach to set travel trends and inspire even
the most discerning travelers to discover somewhere new.”
United Airlines Connections to Orlando and U.S. Cities
United Airlines currently connects Orlando, a key gateway to Disney World, with Chicago, Houston, Denver, and Washington airports. These established routes contribute to United’s popularity among travelers heading to Disney World.
