United Airlines revealed plans to add 10 new routes starting in 2027, marking the largest expansion in the carrier’s history.

Currently, United connects Orlando, Florida, with Chicago, Houston, Denver, and Washington. The upcoming routes will further establish United as the U.S. carrier serving the most destinations in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France.

United Airlines’ Strategic Network Growth

Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances at United, said the airline aims to have a destination on its route map for every traveler at every stage of their lives. He added the expansion will make the world feel smaller and connect cultures

at a scale no other airline can match.

Quayle noted United has added flights to nearly 60 new international cities in the last decade, building a global network with the breadth and reach to set travel trends and inspire travelers to discover new destinations.

Ticket Availability and Traveler Benefits

Tickets for the 10 new routes are available starting September 6, 2026. This expansion increases destination options and flight connectivity, especially between North America and international cities in Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and France.

United Airlines leads all U.S. carriers in serving destinations across these countries, reinforcing its role in connecting major global markets and offering

more route and frequency options.
