Typhoon Jangmi prompted widespread disruptions to travel across Japan in early June 2026. Operators, including Japan Airlines and ANA, canceled approximately 1,400 flights, with additional delays affecting several hundred flights nationwide. This disruption primarily impacted major hubs such as Tokyo and Osaka airports.

Beyond air travel, rail services in eastern Japan also experienced interruptions linked to the typhoon’s effects. The affected regions extend across multiple cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa, Fukuoka, Kagoshima, and Miyazaki. While recovery operations are underway to restore services, travelers should anticipate continued delays and cancellations as the region recovers.
