Severe thunderstorms on June 29 have disrupted flight operations at London Heathrow and Gatwick airports. The extreme weather conditions led to numerous cancellations and delays, significantly impacting flight schedules at both major airports.
Approximately 40,000 passengers were affected and left stranded due to the disruptions. These operational difficulties caused by the storms persisted throughout the day, resulting in an ongoing challenge for airport authorities managing flight movements amid adverse weather.
