Severe thunderstorms impacted the London area on June 28, 2026, causing extensive disruption to airport operations at Heathrow and Gatwick. The adverse weather conditions created challenges that affected numerous flights across the two major airports.

As a result of the intense thunderstorms, hundreds of flights were delayed at both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Several flights were also cancelled, further complicating travel schedules for many passengers attempting to travel through London on this day.
