storm system on July 18.
Traveler Impact and FAA Operational Response
Delays at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field averaged about 90 minutes as of the afternoon of July 18. The FAA issued ground stops at both airports on July 17 and 18 to ensure safety during severe weather, lifting the advisory on July 17 after conditions improved while noting ongoing departure delays running roughly 45 minutes behind schedule at that time.
