The Sri Lankan government has introduced a free Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) valid for 30 days. This new scheme is designed to simplify and encourage tourist visits from a group of 40 eligible countries.
Among the countries included in this initiative are India, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. The administration aims for the measure to support tourism recovery efforts by making entry procedures more accessible for international travelers.
Travelers from the eligible 40 countries can apply for this free 30-day ETA as an entry authorization to Sri Lanka. This step reflects ongoing
efforts by the government to increase visitor numbers and revitalize the tourism sector.
