The Sri Lankan government has introduced a new policy offering a free 30-day Tourist Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) for visitors originating from 40 countries. This scheme facilitates easier entry for eligible travelers planning to visit Sri Lanka during 2026.
Among the countries explicitly included are India, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. The initiative is intended to encourage tourism recovery and attract a greater number of global visitors throughout the year.
