The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau recently organised a series of roadshows focused on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) across key cities in India. These events aimed to showcase Sri Lanka’s potential as a destination for corporate travel and business events.

Roadshows took place in Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai, targeting the Indian corporate market with the objective of encouraging incentive and meetings tourism between the two countries. The mission was to position Sri Lanka as a favourable location for business gatherings and related tourism.

By engaging with stakeholders and promoting its MICE offerings in these cities, the Sri Lanka Convention

Bureau sought to attract high-value business travel from India. This approach highlights the bureau’s efforts to strengthen bilateral tourism ties focused on meetings and corporate incentives.

The roadshows occurred in early June 2026, covering major urban centres known for their growing corporate sectors. These initiatives reflect ongoing promotional activity without detailed disclosures regarding participating companies or specific outcomes.
