Seoul experienced a notable increase in foreign visitors during April 2026, with the number of international arrivals surpassing 1.5 million. This figure represents an 18.8% rise compared to the same month in the previous year, reflecting continued growth in the city’s tourism sector.
Alongside the rise in visitor numbers, tourism spending in Seoul also showed a considerable uptick. Expenditures by foreign tourists increased by approximately 50% year-over-year in April, indicating a significant boost in economic activity related to travel and tourism in the South Korean capital.
