Royal Caribbean has extended the suspension of all ship calls to Labadee through June 2027. Labadee is Royal Caribbean’s private port on the northern coast of Haiti, featuring a half-mile-long zipline over the ocean, coral reef exploration, Buccaneer’s Bay with parasailing, jet skis, and speedboats, a waterpark with a 300-foot-long waterslide, beach bungalows, basketball, and pickleball facilities.
The cruise line had previously canceled stops through the end of 2026 with a planned return on January 14, 2027. A Royal Caribbean spokesperson stated, “As we continue to evaluate conditions in Haiti and our ability to deliver the best vacations responsibly, we
have decided to extend the suspension of ship calls to Labadee through June 2027.” They added, “This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our guests and crew members in mind. We have communicated these changes directly with guests.”

U.S. State Department Travel Advisory for Haiti
As of July 10, 2026, Haiti remains under a Level 4 – Do Not Travel advisory issued by the U.S. State Department. The advisory cautions about violent crime, especially in Port-au-Prince, noting: “Violent crime is rampant in Haiti, especially in Port-au-Prince.” It also states, “There has been an increase in gangs, organized crime, and terrorist activities.” Additional concerns
include civil unrest, kidnapping, and limited healthcare. The State Department prohibits government employees from bringing family members to Haiti and bans U.S.-based airlines from flying to or from Port-au-Prince International Airport (PAP). Registration with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is recommended for safety updates and assistance.
