Royal Caribbean has canceled multiple 2027 sailings aboard Navigator of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas as the cruise line redeploys these vessels to support its expanded Asia-Pacific program.
The affected voyages had been planned to depart from Los Angeles with stops at Mexican ports. These cancellations reflect Royal Caribbean’s strategic realignment to increase its market presence in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Navigator of the Seas is scheduled to remain stationed in the Asia-Pacific area year-round, from October 2026 through October 2027. Meanwhile, Ovation of the Seas will be repositioned to Brisbane, Australia,
to further the cruise line’s operations in this growing market.
Royal Caribbean confirmed that passengers booked on the disrupted sailings and travel partners have been notified directly about the cancellations and provided with available alternatives. The company indicated that such itinerary modifications are typical operational adjustments required to align with scheduling demands, port agreements, and other logistical considerations.
This redeployment forms part of Royal Caribbean’s broader initiative for 2027-2028 to expand its fleet’s footprint in key Asia-Pacific cruising destinations, adapting its deployment in response to evolving market opportunities.
