The 9th Penang International Travel Exchange (PITE) is scheduled for 27-29 October 2026 at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC). The three-day event will include 1.5 days of structured business-to-business (B2B) meetings and 1.5 days of destination familiarisation activities.
Confirmed Buyers and Exhibitors at PITE 2026
PITE 2026 is expected to welcome 100 confirmed buyers representing travel trade sectors such as corporate, incentive, and associations. The event will also feature 50 exhibitors from various parts of Malaysia, showcasing the country’s tourism industry.

YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State executive councillor for tourism and creative economy, described PITE as a critical platform for cross-border tourism business opportunities. He
noted the importance of connecting buyers from established and emerging markets to promote growth across the industry.
“PITE has evolved into an important platform for the tourism industry to connect, exchange ideas and create new business opportunities across borders. This year, we are particularly pleased to welcome a diverse group of buyers from both established and emerging markets,” Wong stated.
The event aims to boost regional travel and tourism partnerships through its mix of B2B appointments and immersive activities.
During the second half of the programme, international buyers will experience firsthand Penang’s tourism products, cultural heritage, and culinary offerings, underlining
its destination appeal.
